I'm halfway through it. 5 stars so far. I heard a rumor they were making it into a film. I hope they don't sink it. This book is badass!

but they are both more like, read a chapter here and there, rather than reading straight through (there is something about the way the Chavez book is written that is kinda dry..the Kierkegaard book has about 100 prayers the guy wrote in his writings and journals, and then a section after written by someone else about Kierkegaard's faith...neat stuff, but again, not the "read straight through" variety... and the book of Jeremiah but winter's a'coming, so I'm looking for suggestions of something else to read, too. I'm thinking of: might even see if these are in the library tomorrow.

Diaz- Into The Wild was a great movie, never read the book though... here is what I am reading right now: Frank Schaeffer - Crazy For God: How I grew Up As One Of The Elect, Helped Found The Religious Right, And Lived To Take All (Or Almost All) Of It Back. I wanna read Nick Cave's new book next, but after listening to several excerpts that he reads, I am tired of hearing him talk about "pu*sy"... I loved Grinderman, thought the No Pu*sy Blues track was stellar, but he talks about a little too much for me... starts sounding silly when he keeps talking about it (and describing in detail)... Although I HIGHLY recommend And The Ass Saw The Angel!!!

Got it from the library..just around 1/2 way. Started out a little slowly but it's really good now. It's a little hard to explain: bascially a roman catholic priest is trying to swindle Japanese merchants and mexican & spanish priests for power and greed in the name of Jesus. I'm making it sound boring...it's actually pretty interesting. It's a historical novel set 450 years ago.

If the title was read by some from Baltimore it would be: "BALLMER ora stedfass tin sojer anna vampar hon..."

That Wobble book looks badass!
I've been reading the Virgin Suicides. I have wanted to read it since I first saw the film years ago. I like the passages that are read aloud in AIR's V.S. soundtrack too. In fact, it's the only AIR album that moves me. I find AIR to be way overrated. I am a 1/4 of a way in & I love it.
